My sister found a video on youtube yesterday that suggested that we download something called a mod conflict detector. Anyway, I will try that but I just downloaded the game so I had nothing in my mods folder. I don't know if I am replying correctly because when I quote a person the quoted words don't appear in a grey box. > So if you have subfolders inside your Mods folder, try recreating new ones then adding your CC back into them. I moved everything out of my Mods folder to my desktop, made new subfolders, sorted my mods/cc that I moved to my desktop into them and it worked fine. I finally narrowed it down to the subfolders I had my mods/cc in. I knew something was wrong though because they couldn't all be broken, especially the mods I made myself that were compatible. I did all of the steps in crinricts blog, but none of them worked unless I removed all of my cc. All of my CC was preventing my game from loading and I kept getting that error message. > Hey there, I just wanted to chime in on this because I had the same problem yesterday. Instead, place your cc/mods into the newly generated mods folder. Exit the game and then add back the "options.ini" file and the "saves", "screenshots" "tray" "custom music "folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. > Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. Could it be a specific problem with the laptop? Thank you for trying to help though. The CC works fine on my other laptop so I don't understand. I did everything from reinstalling my game, checking the disc and cc to trying to repair the game and running Origin as administrator.
